Popeye is a great grandson to Peruvian Caligula through a carefully selected linebreeding. His dam, Lazy's Nutmeg, adds rich brown color to Popeye's breeding potential. Popeye's sire (Chaos), settled his first female at two years of age and seems to have passed this ambition to his son. Popeye loves the ladies already and we don't know if he'll wait for full maturity. He carries all the fiber characteristics you'd expect from a Caligula boy and (as the name implies) large leg bones his body is catching up with. Popeye was noticed at six months in the show ring and we anticipate even more attention as he begins to breed. Don't miss your opportunity to catch this future herdsire at a remarkably low sale price!
Popeye has an impressive show career for such a young male in a tough color category:
4/06, North American Alpaca Show 4th of 11, MAPACA 3rd of 11,
10/06, Empire Alpaca Extravaganza 5th of 11
11/06, Green Mt. Alpaca Spectacular 6th of 9
In each of these the thoughts were the same, "We can't wait until this male matures." |
